Looks to be more aimed at the small long term backup market than the regular use market and mediocre read/write speeds for a brand-new device. You can see capacity and ability to mark it with a name label. Sounds exactly like the ideal backup drive for small files to me.

Corsair has launched a pair of new USB flash drives equipped with displays. The new Flash Readout USB 2.0 Drives have bi-stable cholesteric displays that show disk space usage and a customizable 11 character alphanumeric display. A small pie-chart is used to show overall space usage while a 4-digit display shows available storage space. The 11 character alphanumeric display can be customized to display whatever the user wants. Bi-stable cholesteric displays require no power to display information. The technology only requires power to change information on the display, which is updated every time the flash drive is plugged in.
Sizes of 1GB and 2GB are available. The flash drives are USB 2.0 compatible and rated up to 20MB/s read speed and 7MB/s write speed. It’s a standard size flash drive measuring in at 78mm (L) x 21mm (W) x 12.9mm (H). Corsair warrants the drive up to ten years and includes a lanyard, setup CD and USB cable in the package.
Pricing for the Flash Readout USB 2.0 Drives will be $39.99 and $59.99 for 1GB and 2GB models respectively. Flash Readout USB 2.0 Drives are available now.
