"Electronics giant NEC posted hefty losses this term but predicts gaming devices--like the Nintendo Wii--will provide traction later on."

Wow, they lost a ton of coin, but at least it wasn't as much as last year... they're coming closer to being back in the black, at least.

Talk about a bad accounting outlook on things. How can you possibly be content with a company that performs less-worse than it did the year before?

Well, it is a positive trend. Besides a lot of companies work with losses (more than you'd think!!) Mostly due to investments into new infrastructure which will only become profitable in an extended period of time.
