That's great.......;) Mushkin makes some really great stuff.........;)
My first set of highspeed LL DDR400 came from those folks, and to top it off they are my home state memory maker. I used to live not all that far from their company........;) Front door service back then.

In our review (http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=945) of Mushkin's DDR2 Redline 8000 Memory using an AM2 5000+ @ 280 x 10 we were able to get stable DDR2 1120 benchmarks which is better than the recent Anand Review (http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2809) of both the top of the line Corsair and OCZ DDR2 which both maxed out at DDR2 1112.
They were using the Intel Core 2 Duo X6800 (Dual core, 2.93GHz, 4MB Unified Cache) processor in their review. So we're not exactly comparing apples to apples here, but IMHO and until prove different Mushkin is the best DDR2 memory on the market today and serves as my reference memory for all my reviews.

Go 64-bit and you could have 8GB of Mushkin goodness warming your heart.

Whoa, nice job Bjorn3d!! Congrats! 8-)
So I have a question, does this mean they will have a support tech roaming through here? And I just now noticed this thread is in a Mushkin Tech Support subforum, so that answered my other question already.

So when is this supposed to happen? It has been half a year and we are yet to see them visit this forum or offer support.
I needed help, and posted in this section, but so far there has been no sight of Mushkin. Seems misleading to have it at this point.

That's GREAT!!! It's good that we'll have Mushkin Support here in the forums, in addition to their support forums (on www.mushkin.com (http://www.mushkin.com) site).
I'm still waiting though for their guys to send me the XP2-8500 2GB DDR@ set that I've won in their forums' contest a week ago... :-?

I gotta agree here, I have been wondering for awhile now if it was worthwhile to keep this subforum if they don't use it. If they'd at least drop in weekly, or have an email auto-generated and sent directly to their tech when a topic is created...?

Hi,
I just got some Mushkin goodness and now I want to make sure I set it up right.
I have a Asus A8N Premium with Opteron 185 and 2X1 sticks of the Redline on board number one and Asus A8R32-MVP with FX-60 on board number two.
Board number two is sitting in a box, but board number one is loaded up with a M-12 Seasonic powering it away.
Currently I have it set at 255 1:1 at 2.7 and 3-3-2-8
I am wondering what I should enable or disable to get the memory and the whole system to purr at stock speeds and up to a ten percent overclock, so.. up to DDR 550 is the max I will stress it with and the CPU won't fly over 2.9
Thanks for any advice :icon_tiphat:

ok, so I assume to reach 2.7Ghz, you used a half multiplyer.
On socket 939, half multi's lower the speed of the memory from 1:1, the best bet in this case, would be to put the memory on a multiplyer, and use a full multi for the cpu.
Also, using a lower HTT/LTD multi will help with your overclock. Since you use a opty 185, you have the choice of higher multi's.
a tool called a64info, has a built in calculator, that shows how half multi's affect both the HTT and memory clocks.
Being as ddr 550, with the default timings is already working, that could be a sweet point for the memory.
If you could elaborate on what your want, I could give you a more straight forward answer.

Hi gdogg!
It seems that the 2GB XP2-8500 DDR2 Set that I've won in your forums is "faulty". :frown:
I just wanted to let you know that I've already talked/teported to Ari, Tom and Cris.
Cris contacted me by email me and already arranged an RMA for me.
He told me that he'll send me a new 2GB XP2-8500 set and once I'll get it verify that it is working properly, I'll send you (Mushkin) back the "faulty" ones.
THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!! :icon_tiphat:

I've tested them on the PCs of two of my friends, one with an ASUS P5B and the other one with ASUS P5N-E 650i and believe me, we've tried everything: different voltages, different timings, each stick individually, and...NOTHING, we couldn't even post! :-D
But, I just got informed that the RMA'ed set is already on the way to me!!! That's what I call: GREAT SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!! ;-)
WAY TO GO, MUSHKIN!!! :icon_tiphat:

yes plz do. I'd like to know how you do with the new motherboard you pick.
I am going with a p5b myself for that insane raid performance, even though I just got my rd600 heh.
It'll make a good second machine, once I get a quad core, and r600xtx

To the matter of fact, I've already got them a few days ago and already checked them. And guess what??? They're working FLAWLESSLY!!!
I've checked them on my friend's ASUS P5N-E 650i mobo and this is also the mobo I'm planning to buy soon...;-)
yes plz do. I'd like to know how you do with the new motherboard you pick.
Like I said, I already got the RMAed RAM, but I havn't bought a new mobo (...yet... ). I guess I'll eventually wait for the price drop on Apr. 22, and then I'll buy both my mobo and E6600 CPU, as I currently can't find anyone who can buy for me the CPU and mobo in the US nor Hong-Kong...:frown:
Anyway, I believe that patience pays...or at least, that's what I want to believe in... ;-)
