Lol, that's pretty funny  It looks nice though. Does that motherboard feature a built in processor or something?

Yes, its one of the older ones. Here is a link

Lol here is the PS (all 200 Watts of it)

Because it dosent have convert AC voltage to DC its much smaller and makes 10 times less heat. They have new ones that are 1/2 this size.

So that comp runs on AC?!

It uses a power block like a monitor to transform the AC to DC.

Here is the direct link to that PSU: http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl;jsessionid=ac112b801f4302a8bf05716c464a84ada8 5b0fe865a3.e3eTaxiPc3mTe3qMbxaNbx0LbO1ynknvrkLOlQz Np65In0?category=13&it=A&id=301
Also, can you make sure to keep a parts and source list so I reference it later after the project?
Really great work so far! You might even draw more modders to the site, and we could devote a dedicated section if it grew large enough one day.

I was gonna make it H20 but the Via CPU runs really cool. And I thought it would freak out the fish.....

H20? water? what?
markkleb
08-11-2006, 09:24 PM
I was gonna make it Water Cooled (cause the tank was full of water) except there was vibration of the pump (and the noise)
Right now I use a practically silent fan so you cant hear it when its running.
that is just plain cool... i love that case

So what's the use of it when it doesn't even convert anything. Is it just like some kind of power distributor then?

Computers can't use AC current so a transformer is need to convert AC to DC current that a computer can read. PSU and power block do this.
The PW200 (http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl;jsessionid=ac112b801f4302a8bf05716c464a84ada8 5b0fe865a3.e3eTaxiPc3mTe3qMbxaNbx0LbO1ynknvrkLOlQz Np65In0?category=13&it=A&id=301) just connects to a power block(or any other 12V source) to provide power.

Werty, please read a thread before you reply. The whole point is it doesn't convert anything. It's already been converted by an adaptor.

I read the thread and since you asked this question I wanted to answer it for you.

Why would you ask this question if you know the answer already? You try fitting a PSU in that Lego mod enclosure hence the PW200 (http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl;jsessionid=ac112b801f4302a8bf05716c464a84ada8 5b0fe865a3.e3eTaxiPc3mTe3qMbxaNbx0LbO1ynknvrkLOlQz Np65In0?category=13&it=A&id=301). V is needed.

Hey Gibson, I think it takes 12V in and seperates it into 3.3V- 5V and 12V and eliminates all the wires(20 pin power wires) plus it probably has the on/off relay(for the main power button)
Better do something it cost $50, lol
I thought it was cool that is is over 95% effecient...

I guess that's the only thing it does then. Nothing special about it's efficiency though IMHO, it's just splitting up voltages. The real efficiency that counts is the one from the adaptor.

Fish are used to pumps anyways. In a 10gallon tank or even that small one you should have an air pump on it to put oxygen in the water. Fish need to breath too lol. I have a 10gallon tank with 3 fish and i thas 2 pumps because of the filter system i use. They could care less that i have 2 pumps on it. I really doubt a Beta fish would care if you have a little 12v water cooling pump in there with it.
