Hi all
I have a 2 dodgy xfx 7900 gt's as well the first one went bad on the second day, the other started to go soon after. I have sent the the first card back to Game Dude in Australia and have not got my card back yet spose it's only been a month!! to get a DOA replaced toooo slack from the retailer that is, and no updates as to when i might get it back they tell me it's with the supplier !!! lets all pass the buck to someone I can't contact to talk to.

I have held on to the 2nd card, But it also needs replacing but as I work in I.T. I need a working computer.

Not willing to send the 2nd card to the retailer more freight. and another long wate I payed $460 AUD each for the Cards when i built my system. I was realy looking forward to haveing a high end gameing rig but so far I haven't been able to play any game for more then 2 hours before I get Artifacts not to mention the hours of uninstalling and reinstalling a. windows B. drivers and hours and hours of searching the net looking for a solution.

All I want is want I payed nearly a grand for 2 working Video cards.
So how about it can you guys get me my card replaced in a resonable amount of time ? and how about Cross shipping me the replacement card ?

Sorry for ranting i'm just disapointed one failed Video card I could have put up with and called it bad luck, but 2, man I must have done something bad to someone up there.

Cheers Beo

Dear Beowolf, We have little control over the retailer in terms of their exchange policy for replacing your cards but, I agree that a month is too long a time. Have they responded to you about why they are reluctant or unable to send you a replacement card? In any event I am going to forward your information to our team that handles that region to have them look into this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Hey Guys
I'm now able to play games again by underclocking the card ( have made another post if you dont feel it's something I should have posted feel free to remove it.)
I still have, and it seems to be running ok so far if it continues to work at the lower clock settings I'll just keep it and when the other one returns I'll see how it goes. if it runs ok at the factory clocks i'll return this one and wate for it to be replaced if the returned one still has a problem i'll see if the underclock sorts it out as well.
Its not the best solution granted but at least I have a gameing rig now and it still performs very well even underclocked so even if i have to underclock the 2nd card it's still going to be a very sweet rig.

Thanx heaps for the fast reply's and the advise. I don't hold you guys responsable at all for the slow warrenty replacment process i'm going though with the shop. I'm very impressed with the online support from XFX.
Sad I cant deal with you guys diect from Australia.
I'm happy for you to close the support ticket I logged

Thanx again

Cheers Beo

Glad that you got your card working and stable... but it is unacceptable that you had to underclock the card to get to this point. You paid for a card that had certain specs, and you should get a working card running at said specs.

That said, I'm sure XFX will hook you up ;)

I agree with Tomato. Having to run the card underclocked is not the card you thought you were purchasing. Keep after the Australian retailer and hopefully they'll get that to you soon.

I have noticed the response from XFX here is quite quick. Good to know ;)

Look's like I should get the first card I sent away bank in a few days if it's a good one and run's at spec i'll send the one I have underclocked back to get it replaced as well, just a pain and unlucky that I got 2 bad cards when i got the system.
But yes the XFX guys are quick to respond and are very helpfull I just wish there was an Australian agent to deal with direct as it add's time to the warrenty process when the shop test's the card then there supplier test's the card. then if they test it hard enough and long enough they aggree that it not right and send a new one.
