Hey Guys,
I have had the same Problem alot of guys have had, run's well for a few hours then starts artifacting the solution to my Problem seems to be to underclock the card.
Untill I can be with out it while I get it replaced under warrenty
But I'm not sure I'll bother It's running well underclocked and I no longer have any problems so far.
My 520/1500 seems happy at 470/1320 (660 in coolbits2) didn't drop many FPS maybe 4or5 at the most But I now have a working card that will run game's at Max setting's all day no artifacts screen blinking or tearing.
If you Underclock to far it's not happy eather but in my case the above settings are working well.
Hope this helps someone out as I know the pain of serching the net looking for a fix to this Problem.
XFX support were very helpfull and quick to respond Thanx Guy's

But I guess there not going to say hey your card cant handle the factory overclock sorry, just underclock it and see how it Goes.
They have told me to send the card Back to get it replaced by my supplier.

One Question for the XFX guys though can I use one of the lower clock setting bios flashes on the fourm on my card to make the underclock the stock setting ?
Or would this void my Warrenty should the card go toes up?
Regards Beo

Not sure if it would void your warranty using a bios from a card with lower clocks speeds and I don't think it would but why don't you just RMA it?

I can't RMA to XFX from Australia so I have to deal with the supplier and they still have the one of my cards and its been 5 week's.
So I'm not keen to send the other card away just yet and be left with no PC at all.

Why can't you send the card back from Aus to XFX? Too expensive?

And it would take forever since there is no XFX office in Aus.

It would be better for him to modify his current VBIOS. Beowolf, feel free to PM me if you want me to create a custom VBIOS for you.

He could do that but if its possible why not just use a bios from a different card with a lower clock speed? He could also just use Coolbits or Rivatuner to lower the clock speeds. I personnally don't like to mess around with a video cards bios because if you botch anything the card is useless unless you have a PCI card lying around.

You mentioned that you don't like to mess with VBIOS, so I will forgive that you don't realize how difficult it is to mess up a cards BIOS.

When you build a custom VBIOS you simply use the cards existing BIOS backup and make changes to specific areas such as VPU and VRAM. Flash a different manufacturers card is often not possible with NVFLASH.
