Heyy:D

I've got this neat MSI MS-7093 mobo, Ati XPress 200 chipset (RS480).
It has been modified by Hewlett-Packard, they have kinda removed some menus, like all the OC stuff:(...

HP told me that it was possible to flash the Bios to MSI's normal one. But they wouldn't tell me how:???:
I downloaded MSI's Bios from their page for my mobo ( http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=639 ) and followed their manual on how to flash.
But all i get is an error saying "Bios-Lock String does not match with your system!"
I used the jumper to reset the Bios and tried again, but the error is the same...

I know it is the right Bios i downloaded, so why cant I flash to MSI's Bios?

Thanks
\Anders

Nope, its a1018.dk , probably the same mostly, mine's just a bit older...
But i just read this:

"For any geeks, the included Compaq BIOS for the MS-7184 motherboard is horrible (of course). There is a distinct lack of many useful settings (the shared memory is automatically determined rather than user selectable, for example). You may be able to upgrade the BIOS with one from a third party (such as esupport.com), but you cannot use the original MSI BIOS with this system. The system can be software overclocked quite a bit, usually without trouble (again, no BIOS options for this). Mine had no trouble whatsoever with ClockGen's 10% overclock. "

:( well, i hope that isn't true.. So if there are anyone out there with some ideas or answers to this, plz help...
