got a netgear adsl modem, try to make it work on centurylink but no luck. the actiontec q1000 show me it'a vdsl-v8 network or something. need help!
If it's a VDSL1 connection , then no it will not work with an ADSL modem. If your connection is a VDSL2 connection , then it's ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ interoperable.
You can try running it in bridged mode, you'll need to obtain your PPPoE username & password so you can configure it in your own router. You can give your ISP a call if you don't know your PPPoE username & password.
Here you can find a good guide by your ISP on how to seup your Q1000 :- http://qwest.century...odem-q1000.html
Let us know if this works.
