Sure im open to discuss anything. Sorry it took awhile. I dont get anything saying somethings posted when you post in you own page. While overclocking will lower the life, its more than likely the PC will become far obsolete before it kicks the bucket. (Even more obsolete than a P3). I've seen you talking about getting GTX280's or 285's. Those are hard to un-blottleneck when there in SLI. I would say at the least your going to want to be running 3.6 GHz. I would reccomend either a Gigabyte or a Asus, depending on your taste in brands. I can say the Intel SO X58 isnt worth the price they charge. I like Asus but I know a lot of people dont like their lacking customer service. Ive never had one break on me, so I have no experience with that aspect of the company. Any more questions you have just post them up here, and ill look here more often.
I'll probably be going with an i7/X58 setup soon and don't want to OC anymore than I have to. In my experience the more you OC, esp the MB, the less stability and longevity you get, even if you step it up slowly. I added some questions in that thread but perhaps we could discuss it more at length here.
Im going 195x20 because I dont like the speed step crap. Sometimes it kicks up to 22x, but most of the time at load it hangs at 21x.
