It has plenty of space. not to mention the venting holes you see run across all angles so it keeps air incoming no matter the surface its on.
To top design looks like it should allow for more cooling. It almost appears as though this cooler is not high enough off the desk to allow enough cooling. Mrs. Sifter is using a cooler master laptop cooler that sits the laptop about 3 inches off the desk/lap and does a terrific job. With the nice fan lay out of this and higher a little higher off the desk it would be a great replacement, but then again it wouldn't be slim....
