At 50% you have doubled your TPF, effectivly doubling the time it takes to finish a WU. you should try a # up near 85-90 first to see if it cools you enough. and i still think you should turn the fans on full.

Will try that later. I've successfully finished a unit, finally, Vrm stayed below 55 degress and gpu stayed below 63 degress.
Anyone Not Getting -Bigadv Units Today Or Is It Just Me?
so far so good:grin:
no more heat issues for me

D/L ati tool, and turn that fan up from 58% to 100% then you can do your WU's faster and still get cooling.
Thanks for the tip. Im using Msi afterburner for fan control.
Now I think I know the culprit of my vrm temp going over 80. I'm monitoring my temp using gpuz while everest is on. So too much monitoring tool can cause my 5850 vcore to rise to 1.65V!! the default is 1.0875V.
Now I disabled the heat control and running 100% on the gpu.
afterburner monitors the temp. once you are sure that it, and gpuz are showing the same value, you only need afterburner running.
I have one waiting to be uploaded but the server 130.237.232.141 appears to be down.
hello, i'm new to folding, and i'm trying to get my EOC ID entered in FAH Tracker, I click on the link to the list of usernames but I don't see mine.
Do I just have to wait a little longer for it to update?
You'll need to finish a work unit or two plus allow the page to update before you see it.
Your EOC ID # 553134

Just a reminder to have your Passkey entered when doing -Bigadv for bonus points. :)
or any SMP WU's. the a3 core gives bonus points after you complete ten core a3 wu's, even if you can't run -bigadv.
you get the passkey from Stanford.
Can someone tell me the advantage of doing this rather than just running the CPU and GPU clients yourself?
its easy to track, maintain, launch and monitor your progress on all your clients at once
