XFX WarPAD Gaming Surface

How does the mouse feel on this compared to the hard plastic gaming surfaces? It looks comfy, but those hard gaming surfaces just make the mice seem like the are gliding. I haven't touched a foam pad for years. They were great to get the ball to move in a mouse, but were no where as nice for optical. Th protection for the keyboard is an added bonus, if the surface is smooth enough for a mice to glide across.

The mouse (Thermaltake esports Black) did glide along excellently and an added benefit was that the Teflon mouse feet did not show wear marks like I have seen with my solid gaming surfaces.

Yeah it clamps on then the mat just wraps around. works really well and since the keyboards clamped on it doesn't try to slide out.

Great idea, though IMHO they should make a similar ESS wrist rest for a KB. The edge of the desk syndrome doesn't stop at the mouse pad unfortunately, and most KBs just don't have good built-in wrist rests. I have an industrial grade pullout tray that has it's own full length velour wrist pad on the 1 1/4" thick MDF/walnut HPL desk I got from Boeing Surplus. I wouldn't ever game without a comfortable wrist rest for both mouse and KB. $50 is definitely too steep a price though.
