Just installed crysis 2 with the newest patch and the newest ati drivers for my 5850 but a soon as the game is launched the screen is just black. I can hear sounds but can't see anything.
I googled to find others problems but they updated their graphics card drivers and put some config lines in (which I did) to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks guys!
My first Idea would be to try to repatch the game if you can. Second use driver sweeper and clean out the ATI drivers then reboot and re-install vid drivers. You are on a DX 11 OS right? Did you need to update DX?
To ad to joshua, uninstall the game, then reinstall it as well. Does this happen on any other game?
nope only this game, i already install/re-install the gfx drivers but no avail, ill do that with the game aswell
i have windows 7 64bit, so it should be ok?
so just unistalled the video drivers and then restarted to install the new ones, but my comp wouldn't go past the windows booting screen
went into safe mode to isntall it and it says this "failed to load detection driver" in the ATI catalyst install thingy.
ugh
update:
searched and found out had to re-install Microsoft C++ thing. Tried every file i could find but gives an error and cannot install. Guess i have to re-format now FML.. :(
Bummer. F N Microsoft! Why cant they have games for Linux!
that sucks but if ya haven't reformatted in a while then it might be good
