Nuts!
Awoke this morning to the sound of an alarm in my APC going off. Had to shut down my two 470's and 950. It does not sound during normal usage but after 3 or 4 minutes of F@H it squeals like a pig. No Deliverance pun intended. There goes 44,000 ppd for awhile.

any idea what's setting it off?

My APC had a similar problem, and only way I could fix it was to replace the batteries. Mine was a 1200 VA unit.
Good luck with figuring out the problem. Nice job on your folding stats!

Blacksmith1 – I think I am drawing too much. I have my server, monitor and a couple printers attached to it. This is the first time anything like this has happened.
Gstillman – Battery was my first thought as well. I unplugged everything from the APC for about 4 hours this morning. I reconnected it all and have started folding again. Everything is running OK right now. If it goes off again, I may just unplug it from the wall and see if goes off instantaneously.
I have a few video editing projects coming up in two weeks. I normally don't/can't fold on this machine during this time anyway. Maybe a couple weeks off is what the APC needs.

Vacations normally do not help inanimate objects (one exception being my van), I would think that the problem is related to the load on the system. unplugging it to simulate a power outage is a good way to test an UPS so that is probably your best starting point. It may be that you are drawing just a bit more than it can output on a steady basis, or there may have been a brown out that caused it to need a reset? (just guessing here)

Disabled one of the 470's and everything ran fine. Might be looking at the "final straw" for my UPS.
