Metro 2033 is a scary / creepy game? Like, along the same lines of Doom 3 creepy / scary? Just need a heads up to see if I can play this game around my daughter or not before even having the ability to install the game or anything.
Doom 3 isn't creepy or scary due to it being so obvious and predictable. Lights go out, monsters pop out, boring. The overall feel to this game, the weird sounds, dull lighting, and actually creepy monsters actually make it creepy. I wouldn't say scary, but to a kid it could be pretty scary. You have to be listening to the sounds though. If you use speakers I would not play this game around your daughter.
I thought Doom 3 was pretty scary, lol. I'm thinking of playing it again though since I never did quite finish that game, haha.
And, thanks for the heads up on this game. I'll probably play it when she's sleeping or away with mommy. This will probably be a game that will take me a long time to finish as a result, lol.
It takes a lot for me to be scared, but just because Doom 3 was so damn predictable it never scared me. Oh, lights are going out? Better be ready for the obvious monster that's going to pop out. Most parts are fine because you have somebody with you which takes the edge off, but in other parts when you are alone and all you hear is creepy post apocalyptic sounds and the occasional monster in the background it gets creepy. Then you add on how creepy the dark ones are and bleh. The ending itself is VERY weird.
I'll have to see how all this plays out. Hopefully I get to play the game and I won't have nightmares.
And for me scary is things popping out. Even if it's predictable and all, it still scares me, lol. I think the sounds made it a little worse for me.
Ahah you should let me know how this game does you in.
I played part of the tutorial of Deus Ex (the original, GOTY Edition) yesterday. It was mainly to check if I could download it from Green Man Gaming and make it DRM free, and installing New Vision did that (as I expected).
So right now I'm trying to swallow the crap that is the new Most Wanted. It just isn't settling and lucky for me I was only demonstrating it because I don't really have time to play it (or anything else right now). Lack of AA and the similarity to Burnout makes this game a bleh automatically.
Back to team fortress 2
Halo 4 and I need to finish Mass Effect 3. I've been jumping back and forth from Diablo 3 and I just started playing WoW again (I know... I can't help it). So many games, too little time
D3 some WoW and a bit of wii baseball/bowling with the kids
I bought Wild Blood for my Nexus 7 yesterday and played some of it. It's an "action adventure" game, of the God of War or Devil May Cry style (but no platforming so far). The premise is that King Arthur, crazed by Lancelot's infidelity with his wife, allowed Morgana to summon demos which took over the country and now Lancelot must fight them. It's a good looking game with decent action. Probably would have played better with a real controller, but I think it's still better than my experience playing Devil May Cry 4 with a keyboard.
Finally finished Mass Effect 3!!
Didn't notice Aria was Carrie-Anne Moss LOL!!
Okay I will tell what happened hahahaha
