Intel sticking to user-replaceable processors
Contrary to the current rumors about Broadwell being a non-swapable processor chip, Intel spokesman Daniel Snyder is now saying the opposite and would likely continue producing user-replaceable processors. The thought of non-upgradable desktop processors didn't get much approval from the end-users and with AMD reassuring customers of continuing their socketed CPUs and APUs, Intel is perhaps feeling the heat.
