DVI looks a lot better IMO.

are there any decent monitors out there now that are 19in, 1440x900, and support DVI for around $150? i need to pick one up for my youngest sister (11). she's still got an old 15in. CRT with her system...which is significantly better than mine
it doesn't NEED to be/have DVI, but i'd prefer it.
I'm sure newegg has a big selection to choose from at the price.
Here ya go! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...e=&srchInDesc=
Quite a large selection too!
coolness. i woulda checked, but kinda hard to do that while i'm at work. it's pretty busy sometimes
If you don't mind the Hanns-G Brand, you can get a 22" for $159
i could do that. but, then i'd give my other sister (19) the Hanns-G monitor and give my other sister (11) my 19yr. old's monitor, a 19in. Samsung 1440x900 monitor, to her :p.
she's still got an old 15in. CRT with her system...which is significantly better than mine
ouch man! what do you have? a 13in CRT from like 1999 or something? time to upgrade that biznitch!!!
Yeah, what can be worse than a 15" CRT???
I didn't even know that people are still using 15" CRTs...
And in my workplace we just got rid of tons of 15" LCDs...
i couldn't work on anything that has a smaller resolution of 1280x1024. 1024x768 i'll deal with, but not for very long.
I'm happy to announce that I'm officially part of the club now! A few months ago I built a family member a computer and the family member's husband insisted on purchasing a big monitor. It turns out that the family member didn't really like it so they traded monitors with me. I used to have a Acer AL1714, now I got the Acer X223w 22" monitor. Been using it for about 10 minutes now and I'm loving it, can't wait to try out some games.
Congrats Andy.
It does take a bit of getting use to a widescreen monitor after you've used a standard monitor but in the end it's all good !
