But with RAID 0, if a drive dies, all data is lost because there was no parity. And in my case, with a 3x RAID 0 array for my games install, I have just that much more potential in a drive going bad...

You do realize that the space you're "losing" in a RAID 5 environment is your parity. Otherwise, there'd be no point in data redundancy in a RAID 5 environment and may as well just run a RAID 0...

Well, this ended up being a driver related issue....
Well, this ended up being a driver related issue. I updated from the 12.11 beta drivers to the 13.4 WHQL drivers, and this resolved the issue.
