Oh...and make sure your 6950 is the 2GB version and not a 1GB version, as it works only on the 2GB ones and only on old/first/initial batches, as in later batches there's a rumor...

I think they'll be just fine for your 6970. But if you're uncertain you can always lay one layer of pads over the chips and re-attach the heatsink and then remove the heatsink again and see if the...

Any of the two will be just fine. Like said, if you plan on gaming on your HTPC, then IMHO go with the 5770. Otherwise, go with the GT240 or...keep the GT240 for another machine and use the onboard...

That sounds odd, as I've never seen Thermal Pads with such high thermal conductivity of 6w/mk. But if you can put your hands on some 'real' 4w/mk that I've seen over eBay, then you'll be just fine,...

Oops...my mistake...sorry for misleading you. I meant HIGHER is better. So anything above 3.2w/mk is OK. I've seen over eBay some having a conductivity of 4w/mk, but I'm not sure about their...

Just make a search over eBay for 'Thermal Pads'. You'll find many...be sure to select good ones. For GPU MosFETs and memory chips, I'd recommend going with thick ones having a thickness of ~1.5mm....

UPDATE:
I just pre-ordered the Galaxy S 2 over www.clove.co.uk online UK store.

They should be dispatching the first batch of phones on May 3rd. Hopefully I'll get mine by May 10th.

Finally managed to start folding on my HD6950 clocked to HD6970 :grin:(thanks to Rob...;-)).

BTW...my GPU Temp maxed at 70C. So it seems like everything is OK so far...

I think that 1920x1080 is too high. For example, the highest resolution I can reach is 1680x1050 as I have 'only' 22" LCD.
