Banning
Some issues have come up lately with folks and some banning that has happened.
I reserve the right to ban anyone that I want. Usually to get banned you must be causing problems on the site with other readers or spamming the site. I also have the right to delete any post that I do not feel helps the site out.
The above cases have happened but not very often. But as the person that owns the site it is my right and my staffs right to moderate the site by my guidelines. As the site grows I can see more moderating needing to happen more. Hopefully people will follow the site rules but some don't.
Have a nice day.

You guys have always run a nice forum and kept it pleasant. You need to do what you feel is needed to keep it that way. Remove the problems from your forum and don't look back.
We have been having a terrible time at our site as well. Popularity will unfortunately attract a bad element and create the need for stricter moderation. Ours has gotten so bad the guy I cofounded it with will not even visit it anymore. We locked new registrations and have begun banning those that are there to create trouble. I think you are right to nip it as early as possible to save the enjoy for other else you could end up with the Romper Room we are having to deal with. If I could figure out how to beat proxies we could possibly open registrations again, but I think instead we will have to wait until the problems find another forum to haunt then open up for worthwhile posters.
Of course you need to expect to be the bad guy. I've been called about everything like Adolf Hitler, Satan and power hungry for not letting the kids have their way on our site.
Good luck!It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Like gibson said, what ever it takes to make a better environment for the general forum public. I'm sure no ban's are unfounded and are made solely on spite. And since I saw the post after before it got deleted, if you have to ask whether this is about you or not first think about it. If you feel yes then ya probably but if you feel you have been acting well and its not about you then probably not.

I didn't notice anything strange or annoying anywhere. But then again I don't read through all of the threads all the time. If somebody got banned from this site he was most likely asking for it and deserved it, cause this is only the second banning since i'm a regular here.

Guess you has to be there when it was going down.
Free speech is one thing and running your mouth is a different thing altogether. I wish people would learn the difference. This is a privet place open to the public. You can only say what is acceptable to the owner. Don't like that don't use the Forums.

Scott, never mind what other people/users/members/etc. are saying/doing/etc. It is YOUR site to run as you see fit. If the are people who would challenge that, then you do what you have to do, simple as that.
Rules are put in place for reason. Break'em and you suffer the consequences.

Plain and simple if you don't learn, you'll get "ownd" by the "man" and any further and/or constant annoyances only fuel the fire for this.
This forum along with other forums are a community for discussion and any complaining isn't called for no matter what the issue is.

posting on bjorn is a privilege not a right.
I mean would you barge in a cigar club and start complaining that people smoke cigars in the place.

This is one of the most lenient sites I've ever been associated with and to date I've only seen SPAMMERS permanently banned. As the site continues to grow the time will come that considerably more moderation of events will be necessary to keep the theme for this forum in tack that Scott and Bjorn have established. Unfortunately that's one of the bad things about a site getting larger.
I don't think even those that have been in trouble here have any room to complain, at most other comparable large sites they would have been banned immediately and permanently with no questions asked or explanations given.Regards,
Miles

Frankly I don't see the reasoning for complaining in the first place.
