Saturn Horn replacement
The horn on my '99 Saturn SC1 failed so I called a few auto parts stores only to find out that its a dealer only item. Saturn used a 3 wire horn with an integrated relay and a replacement costs a whopping $85.00

The problem with having the relay attached to the horn is over time water gets into it and it fails. Most vehicles have the horn relay in the fuse box where it belongs, and use a 2 wire horn.
My nephew is scrapping his '86 BMW so I was thinking of taking the horn and relay and jury rigging it to work on my car. Should be easy enough to do, don't you think?
Here's a wiring diagram I found:

should be easy enough. the relay i beleive to be grounded as well.30/86 one of them will be a ground
is that a postive ground? bc the way i wired relays was you have 1 switching voltage (the item that excites the relay, 1 input man power line, 1 ground, 1 out going power, this way the relay acts as a cercuit breaker and pulls from the main power and not through the switching power.Last edited by Dragon; 07-17-2009 at 08:12 AM.

Check if the horn is still repairable. If yes, you can find in the internet good Saturn repair questions that would be your guide in this. There are some auto repair shops that wouldn't know how to repair some of the parts of that car because Saturn are rare.
