Service is: Comcast in central PA
Paying $75/mo for "6Mbit" down and hdtv extended-channel package. (its a 6mo promo)
Don't forget that comcast has Powerboost which supposedly doubles the subscribed speed for the first part of all downloads.
DLS reports says i'm getting 13 megabits down.
SpeedTest.net says i'm getting 15 megabits down.

Wow, some of you guys have some fast speeds. Mine's alright I guess. I don't do anything fancy just gaming from time to time.

That's just the standard time warner package.

A wise man said its better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool instead of opening your mouth and dispelling all doubt.

^ I am not paying for that connection nor should I be able to get it. :P
But maybe sometime in the future EPB will expand their fiber and I can get symmetrical 15-50 mb/ps, but I doubt it because I am so.. rural.

320 Kilobytes/sec download
40 kilobytes/sec upload
....stupid lack of Canadian broadband competition. I'm on the "light" plan because there's no point having higher downloads when they cap our monthly download/upload bandwidth to 60GB. This is fast enough that I get good ping on CoD4.
I'm looking at the broadband speeds/price in Japan/Korea and I am crying inside. They even got wifi up in the mountains! I know Canada/US has a huge landmass but even our most metropolitan cities don't have the infrastructure their mountain towns have!
