I mainly fold on my 8800 GTS 640 and most of the time I fold on my AMD 64 x2 6000+ (which is a 3GHz dual core) when I get folding weather.

I'm new to folding and just realized my Radeon 5770 isn't worth folding on(compared to running the smp client alone), So currently I am folding on.

    Phenom II X4 B45 3.1 Ghz
    Phenom II X4 965 3.7 Ghz
    GT 240
    Old P4 @ 3.0 Ghz
    Pentium M @ 1.6 Ghz

I just started folding, as soon as I can manage to get my hands on a geforce 460 or 450, I will swap that in and watch the ppd climb.

    @Cirozorro
what client are you usng on your Phenom's?
if it's the base cpu client, switch it to the SMP client, sign up for a passkey from stanford, and you'll get bonus points from the a3 core projects.
I switched mine out, and get an average of 2k more ppd on an older 9500.

Yeah I am using SMP on both Phenoms, Just purchased a new heatsink and fan for the B45. Am going to attempt to try and run GPU2 and SMP with the Phenom 965 and my Radeon 5770 using the program mentioned somewhere on this board(I forget the name of it). It's a pity Radeon isn't really optimized to fold better at the moment. So I am planning to pick up a decent Geforce, was leaning towards a 460 768mb, cause I have read it folds just as well as the 1gb, but I may just have to go with the 450 as that's all the budget can allow at the moment.

I am using every computer I have access to, so far I have only completed 7 WU, so I am climbing through all the old Folders on the team that are inactive. It's nice though, cause after each WU completion, I climb like 20 places on the team board. Sitting at 307 right now.

Thanks for the tip, I will pause when finished with the current WU, and boot the GPU3 client up. I hear that GPU3 contains no improvements for Radeon cards currently but allows you to work on higher Point WU. I'll give it a go.

I am only 3 days into this and already trying to figure out how to get another computer/GPU online. Its addicting, Hey, question, how do you specify how many cores the program can access(e.g. I want it to use only 3 out of 4 cores so GPU3 has the muscle it needs and smp2 is not crippled). Is this with a third party program or what? Thanks.

I left mine stock, and it uses 93-95% of my cpu, allowing my 2 gpu clients to run, and lets me surf the web, run my virus scan, whatever. I don't try to multitask alot of apps but any one seems to run fine while folding.

The GPU2 client isnt supposed to support ATI but i could be running on old info since i dont keep up with it. I just see people saying run GPU3 on 5000 series cause it supports it. To change core settings just go to configure under the settings drop down and there will be an outline box with a title of SMP. You can specify CPU settings there.

As for me, chillyness finally came so folding is on. Only for my server right now though. My i5 is killing me with its crap lately =(

I'm finding that the GPU3 client needs 1 CPU core per client when running 2 or more instances in the same machine. I had one core assigned to two clients and found one ran quite a bit slower. I assigned a second core and now both get the same PPD. Anyone else notice the same?

I use a GTX 460 768 and the uniprocessor client. The SMP client is way too slow for my rig.

thought i'd resurect this to see what we are all using to fold on now.
for me it's 2 GTX 480's and a GTX 560. I dropped the SMP because the points it adds dont = the points it costs me on my GPU3 clients. If I can get an X6 after tax return, then i'll start using it again.
