Currently I'm using a non-net flip phone. Previously I had a Samsung Omnia that had a modded firmware and alot of other neato crap. Due to lack of choice for unspoken reasons, I will be using an iPhone 3GS Jailbroken on a gophone type of thing so no internet.

I have the htc EVO 4G. I love this phone. I was with Verizon, but had constant dropped calls or calls cutting in and out. With Sprint constant call quality along with more features for lower price versus Verizon.

I have a jailbroken iPhone 3GS, absolutely love it. It was okay before the jailbreak, now its great. Can't beat $20 a year for tethering! (At least on AT&T).

I guess I'm a minority because I've never owned a cellphone and don't plan to ever get one.

I use China brand iphone clones: Airphone No. 4 4G style and Pk169 3G iphone clone. Gave the 3G to my lil daughter and she thinks is a real Iphone.
I was really exited when I got them and they look and work fine, but I'm just dont think I'm a fan of that kinda phone (if i got a real iphone i'd be bummed out)
I really like slider phone the most easy to use in car, small.
Got my wife a Samsung SGH-T249 for work and she loves it, she did try out the iphones and gave them back to me the next day.Setup:#1 Intel i7 2600k @ 4.7 GHz, Mobo: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe B3, Memory: Gskill Ripjaws 2133 2x4GB

Java apps only as far as I have gone, not all work but alot do. Also depends on who you get it from and what model of clone it is.Can you load differant apps on this phone, or are you stuck with what is already on the phone?
those phones use MTK OS with a wide range of software version ranges.
there are some firmware editors out there to do all kinds of stuff to customize them but its not an easy thing to do.
Other than a toy or a regular phone its pretty much useless. No bells and whistles.

The only reason why I don't have a smart phone is because they make you pay for data plans. Sucks! So I just stick with a small LG flip phone, and if I need internet on the go, I just find WiFi and use my iPod Touch.
