How do I???
Connect thisaudio2.jpg

your manual should have what the pin out is on the front audio header. look online for a manual or ask the manu for the pin layout, most manus fallow a set of guidlines when it comes to the front headers.

the top pic is my layout on the front of the case. the bottom one is from my M/B My case was first released in 2004 I think I never could get ti to work as a front audio.
I guess I need to break down and buy a replacement HD audio header since the spot the original was in is now a hole in the case. T_t has nice one with 4 usb ports for $20. too bad there isn't a local outlet for mod parts...The path to universal understanding starts here: Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

i never used the front io headers myself, question to you is do you use the front audio for head phones?

first thing to check is if your case is ac97 or hd. Then just follow the manual's color design for the pins. essentially Port L, Port R are the out ports. The returns are line ins.
looking at the header, i have a feeling it can potentially be ac97.Main System
