Dragon why not give us a little info on your process if you dont mind sharing. Different Grit used? Buffing? Plus always love more pictures! BTW looks beautiful!

Actually you can look that up right HERE This same exact way I did the lapping. Of coarse this was my article I did a couple years back.

I was kinda wanting to see a pic of how your IHS was after the first pass. I know all the Pentium D + C2D's I lapped we not even close to flat.

that picture did not turn out too well I kept getting aglare from the main window where I was at. but ok.

Here is the IHS with just a couple of passes. this CPU was fairly flat. Which is shocking like you the rest of the Intel CPU's I have used. P.D 805, C2D 6300, 2 x C2Q6600's, Core i7 750 x2,920,930 all were screwed up.

Yea from what I can see looks like it was pretty good to begin with. Very nice though. I am not sure why but every time i see someone do a lapping job I still gotta stare at the pic like its the first one I have seen. I don't think I have ever stared at one I have done for less then 5-10min after I am done with it.
