Star Wars Galaxies, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in the universe of the Star Wars films, is to shut down at the end of this year.

On the other hand, City of Heroes is going "free" later this year. I've never played Galaxies, but I played CoH for several years, and I'll be happy to be able to go back to it.

I think WOW should have a surgeons general warning. People act like their on crack about it. I never touch WOW myself. Didn't need the addiction.

I tried WoW once, didn't really feel it was that great. But that was after I played EQ2 and CoH. CoH is probably the best for casuals, since with a good character it's possible to finish most missions in like 15 minutes.

Not an MMO person myself so this doesn't really effect me. I had a private server for WoW back in the day and thought it was really boring in that and online.
