GPU PPD a reference list
What I would like is for everyone to list their GPU type
overclocks if any (N/A if stock)
and Approximate PPD for that card
I'd like to put together a reference list for anyone interested in upping their points, so that they can tell about what they can expect from any given card. not just the new ones, because some will get used cards to add to their arsenal. (like I did)Code:example; nvida 8800 gt Core-xxx Shader-xxxx Mem-xxxx 9zillion ppd
this will be done alphabetically then numerically.
Memory amounts are not listed due to the fact that the amount of memory on a card doesn't affect the PPD.
All core, mem, and shader clocks are in Mhz.
Shader clocks affect the PPD greatly, this is due to the fact that the GPU uses the Shader Proccessors to do the work. turning them up will increase the PPD. Memory clocks seem to have no affect on PPD. Core clocks have very little effect on PPD and turning them down for folding will keep the card cooler.
Use these settings as a guidline, but remember not all cards of the same type will be stable at the same clocks. and not all cards will perform the same in different systems. differences in other hardware can and will affect how fast the cards can fold.
PPD are +/-, taken at a random point based on what the user saw at that time. your mileage may vary.
Please remember that the PPD varies from one work unit to the next, and PPD shown during a work unit, and the total points for the day, WILL be different.

Ok one of you has a typo or bumblebee has his mem setting under clocked. assuming yours isn't a factory overclocked card. if it is then it's a differnt model and we need to know that.
and the reason I asked for the layout as
Core
mem
shader
was so that I didn't have to guess which was which. even in a different order as long as they are labled I can tell which one I'm looking at.The path to universal understanding starts here: Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

It may not have been wrong, it reads the actual clocks not the settings. it is what found the down clock on several gt200 gpu's for me recently when the ppd suddenly dropped for no aparent reason. the card/driver may have downclocked the mem due to it not being utilized. tho it's moe likely that if the other clocks were correct it was misreading it.
thanks for the correction. still not sure about sifters order. yours was clear just that # was way out of whack with his #'s. based on yours i'm gonna guess that the 1900 is his mem, I'll fix it later if I'm wrongThe path to universal understanding starts here: Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

I'm quite sure that is the case. He listed it in the order you requested. The other thing is that with the 4xx series, you can't separate the core and shader clocks and I think that the shaders run at twice the core clock. So if anything, his shader clocks should be 1536
