    Default Help!!! Screen Freaking

My 30" Dell 2560x1600 monitor is freaking. I have (2) GTX 285 in SLI. I tried each individually with no change. I tried each in each slot individually with no change. I plugged my 24" Dell 1920x1200 in and it works fine. Could my video cards just be failing and not be able to drive the 30"? Do you think the monitor is failing? My old PC (NVIDIA Gforce 9700 GTX 512MB) probably will not drive it so I can't check it there. Any suggestions?

Not an expert on this matter, but that looks like artifacting possibly? Have you recently updated your video card drivers? I've had problems with the latest drivers myself. If you have just updated, i would roll back the drivers to a previous stable set you know works and try from there.

I went thru hell trying to figure out why my vid cards were blacking out. then i finally realized it was my monitor. if the max res on a card is = or > the screen it will drive it. it takes no more power to send the signal to a 25 inch 1080p than it does to send it to a 15 inch 1080. I would try any other card on the monitor to see if the problem moves with it or not.

Why not try a new cable too and see if maybe just maybe it might be going bad.

Sounds like the monitor is toasted. But like others suggested try a different cable.
