Cuda disabled?
My GTX 280 doesn't seem to have cuda enabled. I belive the 9800gx2 is doing the same thing but ineed to reinstall it to find out.
observe;
260cuda.gif560cuda.gif280cuda.gif
notice how the cuda box is unchecked on the 280. It and the 9800gx2 that the 260 has replaced both started giving me an unstable machine error in F@H. How could I lose CUDA, and how do I renenable it. if it is a hardware problem does it qualiy the card for RMA (the GX2 is under warrenty I belive) and why would both cards start doing it a the same time?
I have reloaded win using the 64 bit version so I don't think it's software related. and if it was driver related i would expect to find alot of other posts on the web but this is a rare problem based on what I've found so far (a few questions no answers)
Anyone else ever have this?The path to universal understanding starts here: Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

When my 460 was acting up about a month ago, it was suggest to use the 266.58 drivers and it seemed to do the trick. Looking at the nvidia forums, the drivers at the time had an issue setting my card back to 2d mode when folding. It was stated that f@h worked fine with the then beta drivers as long as the card wasn't over clocked. If I recall correctly, your 280 is overclocked. This may be the problem. I am not finding anything else at the moment on this topic. Or possibly just a glitch in gpu-z though that doesn't explain the folding errors.

The thing is it has been folding on overclocked on the current drivers since they came out. the problems did not present themselves when the 560 was added, so that's not it either. perhaps I have just used them too hard making them fold 24/7 with the O/C. but I don't understand why the cuda has benn turned off.

Have you be into NVidia control panel? If you have that NVidia update thing installed with the new drivers you could have gotten a profile update and not know it.

Cuda is working. it just won't show in GPUZ on which ever card is in the middle slot. the rest of the problems, FAH crashes and such are fixed. I traced them down to an ID-ten-T Error. (note to self; ALWAYS re-install the drivers when swaping v-cards around from slot to slot.)
