I would certainly consider a 3D monitor, but 1080 vertical pixels is simply insufficient. I'm a programmer and I need at LEAST 1200 vertical pixels, so that I can view a lot of text at one time. Also, unless the monitor can swivel to a portrait mode I won't be buying it. 3D gaming is fun (I've used a 3D setup a long time ago with a tube monitor), but (unfortunately) unless I can use it for my "day job" it won't find a place on my desk.
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning. - Rich Cook
