Lol i've done it twice entering the world of rig building. Forgot to attach the heatsink to my amd and i smelt burning within 5 seconds of power up.

The most expensive AMD chip should be around 320. This is simply PR trying to get attention away from the fact that we don't have chips in our hands yet. The CPU was OCed using LHe and only had one module going. Lame.
