Another rig down
My Gigabyte P55-UD6 machine has been throwing Hardware failure BSOD's and I'm not sure what the problem is. Going to try swapping the CoolIT ECO ALC unit this weekend and put an air cooler in to see if that solves the problem. I know I need to mod the side panel of my Bitfenix Survivor case and install a fan on it somehow. Nice case but the side panels are solid and the left side near the video cards are quite warm to the touch.

Why not just leave the side panel off?

Send the side panel to me I will ventilate it for you. I have a 12 gauge that is perfect for that.

A dremmel, on the other hand, will give you a more usable hole. And if you need a guide for a 120mm hole a CD is perfect. Though I use the wire grills myself.

All great ideas but my biggest issue is still these damn hardware failure bsod's. I'll get it figured out eventually.

Can you believe the problem was video card fan speed related. I have an older 9800GTX+ and 9600GSO in this machine and had been running them with the fans on 100% to keep them cool for a while. Turned them down to 70% and problem solved.
