Ok So I got the MOBO I won in the September contest. I have ordered all the parts to complete it, and here is the list:

Mobo : Giga A75-ud2 (won from Bjorn)
    CPU : A8-3850 AMD
    Mem : GSkill DDR-1866 CL9
PSU : Seasonic X650 Gold Modular

I should have all the parts by Monday and I will put it together. I plan on posting the scores and overclocks here so let me know what you would like to see (pictures, diffrent benchmarks, descriptions, OC'ing).

The Extreme 11 is not supposed to work for FM1 but I am gonna try it anyways? Anyone done this?

Looking good there! I intend to build up a 2600K system later with some NVidia cards for some GPU/CUDA code experiments and learning. Never enough time between family, work, and other interests. Doing some honey harvesting from two hives tomorrow. Probably about 4 gallons of honey.

I thought the FM1's used the same connector as the rest of the AMD CPU cooler from 939 on up.

Can't be cause if you look in the last pic you will see the holes are bigger then the studs that go in from the back. I had to try to keep it centered while mounting it.

The spacing between the mounting holes on the FM1 socket should be the same as AM3/3+ and AM2/2+.

this doesn't clip onto the frame? it replaces the cooler mount plastic piece? Ok just looked at the picks again. I thought it would clip to the blue M/B mounts but the next pic they are off. so i guess that answers my question. got any pics of the cooler before it was mounted?

I'm pretty sure all current AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+ coolers are compatible with FM1.

That would be awesome if it's true. My current cooler for my AM2 works great and wouldn't mind cleaning it up and using it when I can buy my FM1 core.
