Default frustrated trying to find the right memory

i am trying to find the correct memory for a gigabyte GA-X58A-OC BOARD. I WANT TO USE CORSAIR MEMORY BUT CAN'T FIND IT ON THEIR MEMORY FINDER. I FOUND A COUPLE OF LISTINGS FOR CRUCIAL STICKS, BUT I DON'T KMOW IF THEY ARE CORRECT BECAUSE THEY LIST STICKS WITH BOTH A 1.65 AND A 1.5V LISTING, AND WHICH ONE IS RIGHT? SOMEONE PLEAS FIND ME SOME MEMORY I CAN USE! AT THIS POINT, I DONT CARE IF ITS CORSAIR, CRUCIAL, KINGSTON OR WHATEVER. I WOULD LIKE TO USE 12GBS OF 2200 OR 1600, OR WHATEVER THE GA-X58A-OC BOARD CAN USE.

    THANKS.

Here is the "Supported Memory List" from GA: http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList...ga-x58a-oc.pdf

As for the voltage your board supports both 1.5 & 1.65v and both are on the supported listing. By now I figure you have worked that out.

    System Specs: AMD Phenom II x6 1090T @3.8GHz; GIGABYTE: GA-990FXA-UD3; Corsair H50; BigFootNetworks Xeno Pro NIC; WD SATA2 WD10EALS-002BA0 (boot); WD SATA2 WD5000AVDS (data); 8GB Corsair DOMINATOR CMD8GX3M4A1333C7; XFX: HD-6950-CNFC 2G; Samsung SyncMaster 2232GW; LG UH10LS20 BD, Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-115D; Rosewill Xtreme Series RX850-S-B 850W; SoundBlaster X-FI XtreameGamer

I would say follow what kzaske says to the letter though that is a very fickle list of acceptable memory, IMO. If you have to deviate from their support list, stick with a 1.5V DDR3 1333 models. Since GB has it on their list, 1.65 should be fine.

I run 12GBS on my machine (see sig). Be aware that to run all of your slots you might have to tweak your voltage upward a bit. My memory is rated at 1600 but I can’t tell the difference in my “realworld” apps (Photoshop, Video editing packages, etc.) between 1600 and 1333. I have had it as high as 1800 but not much increase in my apps and the BSOD's were not acceptable to my wife. My memory is NOT on the GB support list for my board.

I have used one set of your listed memory on a machine I put together for a friend: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...X6GX3M3A1333C9
He has had no problems with it BUT he does not OC and he is only running 6GB.

If you choose not to use the list look at this: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3 1333MHz 240-Pin (PC3-10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9T-12GBRL
12GB in three sticks at 1.5V.

Sorry, no 2200 recommendations. Someone else at the forum might have an idea for that speed.

    Your board’s memory specs:
    1. 6 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 24 GB of system memory
    3/Dual channel memory architecture
    2. Support for DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules

DOH! Should have read the posting date.
