Default Maximus formula 2 unstable with 2x2GB DIMM ram..

    Hi there,
As the title shows, my motherboard (Maximus Formula 2) is not stable with my 2x2GB DDR2 DIMM 800Mhz RAM.
The PC crashes randomly (most of the time during gaming) or i suddenly get bluescreens "dumping fysical memory" or something, or "memory_management".

I've searched through alot of forums and i know that it might be a problem with my voltage towards my north bridge and my ram.. I know that messing around with voltages and stuff is dangerous when you dont have the right knowledge so thats why i would like to know what i could do to make my PC stable & by how many i must adjust my voltages..

    Thanks !

First I would get the exact specs from the memory manufacturer and put those timings in your BIOS. Try one stick at a time and run memTest on each stick. If they fail they are bad. No stick should need more volts than what the factory says for stock clocks. Let us know how it works out for you. BTW whats your DDR voltage 1.80?

what he says is true. you need to get the spec's first. also check your bios to make sure you don't have shodow caching or bios caching turned on, just search, I don't know where it would be in your bios. this caused the same problem for one of my kids game rigs. every time they played it would crash after a random amount of time. once i reset that to disabled the problem stopped.

To add to what has already been posted, how old is this build? Did it just start after a several months or more of stable operation?
