My name is Sumit Singh. I am a 22 year male and I have very strong interest in overclocking.
Sir I have been in a nightmare since 6 months, In may 2010 I bought MSI's 790FX GD70 motherboard and till January 2011 I never tortured it with any overclocking. After then I really wanted to overclock my Phenom II x6 1055T at 4.0Ghz (I know its not easy for everyone), And I did it with 1.45v, and with Prime95, this motherboard died within 15 minutes. This was a MOSFET/Voltage Regulator problem. I captured a screenshot of my dead mobo's MOSFET, and then I sent it to RMA where they replaced it with second new 790FX GD70 in 45 days. The only difference between dead and new motherboard was the model no. of MOSFETs. Old mobo had 'Renesas R2J20604 9A2S292' and the new mobo had 'Renesas R2J20604 9A2S294'. I though this one might be different hence I overclocked again...........AND unfortunately it died again

I immediately contacted to RMA service and sent it with hand written application containing information about Buggy MOSFETS with approximate all 790FX GD70s. They admitted and replaced it with new MSI 890FXA GD70.

Now I was so afraid of overclocking that I haven't touched it's BIOS cell menu settings. I have been searching in internet about 890FXA GD70's failure rate and I really got a bad news. There are about 8 to 10 users in overclock.net who burned their 890FXA's VRMs.

After seeing review of 890FXA GD70 in this site, My heart filled with some hope that may be my motherboard could be same as that one which was tortured 72hrs with high voltage and survived without any issue.

Please..........may you profess somehow that If I overclock.....it will survive ?
I can provide any information relatied to my 890FXA GD70 !!!

Your help will be remembered forever as this is really increasing my knowledge of motherboard technologies and their issues !!!
