    Default Harddrive not displaying

So, I have my new board installed, the Gigabyte I won from the contest. Had to go with the 2-core APU for cost. When i swapped out the board and the APU and booted up, everything ran fine. Decided to do a clean install because of the possible driver conflicts so did that. Now my main hard drive (1.5 TB drive, sata) shows up fine partitioned to two drives. My 2nd hard drive, also SATA (160 GB for storage), is not showing up in the computer list. The windows installer sees it, bios sees it, defrag sees it, device manager, sees it, everything sees it but I cannot access it because it is not listed as a drive. Also noticed that with windows applications, the Storage drive does not show up with a drive letter. Any ideas?

OS? makes a difference. vista/7 goto computer managment and open disk management. assign a drive letter. see if that works. if not you may need to take ownership of the root of the drive. it depends on how it was setup on the old OS load. either way if it functions you can gain access to it.
