    Default Gigabyte GA-A75M-D2H problem

So the board I won from here, I have it up and running, mostly fine. However, it doesn't seem to like my Nvidia 460. Not sure why. Following, is the mail I just shot to Gigabyte tech support. I would appreciate any input from you all.

Question : I won this board in a giveaway from Bjorn3d. I was just recently able to install this board after getting the APU and RAM for it. My Nvidia GPU will not function correctly using this board. I have tried my 250 GTS and 460GTX and have the same results. While running extensive applications like Folding@home, and many games, the GPU usage will drop from 10-90% to 0% for several seconds.

I thought maybe updating the BIOS with @BIOS to v5 might have been the problem, so I tested this with all 6 versions of the BIOS with the same result. Also tried the PCIE16 and 4 slots (was originally using the 4 slot because of case spacing issues). Also did a DMI clear when flashing back to the v5 BIOS.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers to see if they were affecting the GPU (driver sweeper cleaned after uninstall). PEG is initial display device. The last thing I am going to try is to reinstall the chipset drivers (why not right?) and hope this fixes it.

Also, the WIn7 install is fairly fresh. Within the last few weeks.

Any ideas, suggestions or what can be done?

    Model Name : GA-A75M-D2H(rev. 1.0)

    M/B Rev : 1.0
    BIOS Ver : 5
    Serial No. :

VGA Brand : Nvidia Model : 460 GTX
    CPU Brand : AMD Model : A4-3400 Speed :
    Operation System : Win 7 64-bit SP :
Memory Brand : Patriot Type : SDRAM
    Memory Size : 8GB Speed : 10666
    Power Supply : 550 W

And when I say it will drop for several seconds, I don't mean once. I mean it could do that once every few minutes, or about 15 times in a minute. The game I have been mostly testing this with, only needs 15-25% gpu usage on low settings and vsync (tried with and without vsync). Also does this with F@H and OCScanner from EVGA.

Can I assume you are using the new R295 from nvidia? try looking in you NV control panel. under the global settings look for
    Power Management Mode
    set it to
    Prefer maximum Performance
    and see if that helps.

Also watch your temps during this and see if they are staying within "normal" ranges. My 480's try to adjust themselves when they hit high temps. at least under furmark.
If and when you find an answer let Gigabyte know so they can help the next poor shlub that has this issue.

Yes sorry, using the newest drivers. And Max performance or adaptive yield the same results. Under full load (folding or benchmark) my temps hover just under 60C

then niether of those are the problem.... 60c is well inside the tolerance of that card. what else do you have running that might be connected to the card? like desktop gadgets?
have you double checked all the afterburner settings? (assuming you are using afterburner)

Actually using EVGA Precision and OCSCanner. The card is NOT OC at this time. Nothing else is using the card other than windows and the app I am using. Using a tool to disable all background applications that are not necessary (printer servies, media server, ect)

Try it with other games. Could be a fluke. Also use GPUZ to measure core and mem load.

it can be voltage related issue as well, maybe try to up hte gpu voltage slightly. Is your system oced? if so, return to the stock setting. This seems to be a common issue with recent nvidia cards and power management setting often resolve it.
