    Post Nvidia's Flagship Dual-GPU Powered GTX 690

The Dual-GPU GeForce GTX 690 is Nvidia's fastest card yet. With two Kepler GK104 GPUs on a single PCB, and with a bit of overclocking, the GTX 690 could easily match two GTX 680s in SLI.

Pete, nothing personal but I'm beggining to not like you anymore
Cool setup, I wonder how 3 or 4 of these would do folding in one rig?

You don't have to hate me Mike... cause I don't have one in my hands. You can hate me once I have one for testing.

Edit: But yea PP, that reference design is sick! It kind of reminds me of that incident on nvforums, or one of those forums where a guy posted a new years incident about his 8800 getting jizz all over it.

Ok, I'm waitin' to start hatin'. gotta say it does look nice, but not that much better than my GTX295 the cooling shroud pretty much the same layout with different styling.
[edit] I take that back. with both heasinks open to the case it is very different. Now I see why you made such a point about case airflow.

Yea I really don't like these center fan cards much but I figure if you have enough cash to afford this card then you probably have a ton of airflow in your case. I really wish I could get my hands on a dual PCB 295.

displayport allows more displays hook up via a hub. Since the card has limited space on the back, it opted for DP so users can use it for nvidia surround.

But oh God, the GTX 680 had the standard DisplayPort, and the moment I plugged in a cable I got off of MonoPrice, I could not pull it out. Had to chug so hard that the end of the cable ripped off with the port still attached to the connector. And no, I did not forget to use the button on the cable to release the cable. Had to get a pliers to force that thing out of there.

I thought to myself... oh poor card... But thankfully it did not get damaged. Still fully functional.

I suppose they might actually provide a DVI to HDMI converter for the price you're gonna drop on this card .

I want a dual PCB 295 and a 9800GX2 for collection. If I got a dual card like this I still prefer the sandwhich cards because I don't want any hot air being blown in my case.

High end cards usually come with 2. My 580 did and it has DP and HDMI on the back.
