What always bugs me about this kind of folding competition is that it rewards hardware to people who already have very good hardware.

Yeah I cant afford the high end cards and cpu's, but I'll work with what I do have and hope for the best!

If for no other reason, this contest got me folding again and I reached a new milestone tonight.

So I made an ugly colored signature to celebrate!

Start a thread in the Distributive Computing forum, and we'll see if we can fix that. list full system specs, what you are using to setup your folding, any errors reported, etc.

Mine was failing them left and right too and I swapped it out with my 470 GTX and haven't had any problems since.

I just returned from the GTC Conference in San Jose, CA. I am also an NVidia Registered Developer. While at the event, I received a GTX 480 and put it into my 980X 6 Core/12 thread system with a GTX 470. Now folding using an SMP12/480/470 configuration.

GTC was amazing. Lots of new technology in the new 6xx series and programming these beasts will be very productive. My current system folds when not being used as a development system. When these become more available and the drivers work better, they should be very productive at folding.

The 480 seems to be working at about 20500 PPD / 205 watts while the 470 loafs along with about 10200 PPD and 140 watts. The computer room gets quite warm.
