    Default Folding GTX570 Problem

    P55-UD3
    i5-760
    Corsair 650W Builder
    GTX570
    OCZ 3.5 Vertex 2 90gb

The card does the same thing under V7 and GPUTracker. It will start to fold at about 80% load on gpu then the clocks will drop from stock to 405mhz then after a min it will fail the WU.

Is the video card overclocked? What driver version are you using? What is the card's temp when folding? What does the folding log say?

somethig else you can try is turning Advanced methods off if it's on or on if it's off to get a different set of WU's. some cards are picky about what they will run. also make sure that it is using the GPU3 client.

Tried both ways on GPUTracker and it did not matter. I am going to do a driver sweep later and re-install the drivers, then see if that corrects the problem.

if you are using newer drivers from Nvidia just choose the custom option for the install and tell it to do a clean install. it will unload and uninstall all the drivers before installing the new ones. you can also try using the 285.xx full release(whql) as most users had very good results from it.

If it helps I'm folding on my GTX 570 using the 301.24 drivers. No issues with v7 or GPUTracker. If your still having issues after trying what Blacksmith1 suggested please post your FAHlog here and we'll take a look at it.

Delete F@H AND hunt down the F@H info located in roaming and reinstall. Make sure you delete the roaming info or you will get the same results.

I did a clean install of the 296 drivers and same problem. So I then tried a clean install with 301b and it works now. I am not sure of what the issue was but it is corrected now. Running no advmeth on GPU3. I will try running it with advmeth flag later. Thank you all for your help with this problem.

Thanks again for the help. The way my folding is going now I might have a chance in the contest.
