I dont goto SSD because its just too much, I prefer my storage space.

Thats a Hybrid Drive from seagate, which I still personally do not trust that much, as Every seagate harddrive I have owned has died.
Every Westerndigital Hard drive I have owned still somewhere in this house running 100%

Not buy them, just an option lol. I had to used a pill bottle under mine. I have a triple slot Galaxy card and it doesn't do that. I can't understand why the DCU2 cards sag so bad.

SSDs are dirt cheap and getting cheaper. You can get a 128GB SSD for less than 100 which is 5x faster than a standard 7200RPM drive. It can carry your OS and a ton of programs which will see an increase with faster loading times and your hybrid can store whatever else you may need.

Funny how I'm the complete opposite. The only WD drive I've ever had last longer than a year is my external. Probably because it hardly gets used. All of my server drives are Seagate minus 1 which is an F3 that I got for free.

SSD's are not cheap enough, its still around 1$ a gig, and Im not spending cash when I need around 250gb+ which is around 250-300$+

5x faster does not mean much to mean anyways, as it hardly makes a improvement to anything besides boot times that I would use it for.

My rig is on 24/7 meaning the boot time is really not required by me, I play mainly Online games which SSD's make no difference in, and any Offline games only take like 5 secs to load up on a hdd, compared to like 2 secs on a SSD.

I just dont find it Viable for me to spend that sort of Cash to try to find what its best at for me.

Also WD HDD's you always get Caviar Black drives usually, They are the toughest, I still have drives about 12+years old from WD all perfect working order, been Zero'ed to formatted each atleast 100times each.

Caviar black and Western Digital all the way for me =)

Oh btw, dont take anything I say to heart, I just sound mean haha, its how I type XD.

You must not have used an SSD before. I'll let you hold that thought until you finally have one in your main rig then have to go back to using a HDD again. You'll never say this again, and SSD users will agree. I have been using SSDs since first gen (around 0 and they were barely faster than standard drives in raw speed, but the latency and access times are what kills regular HDDs. I have a Samsung F3 and Seagate 7200.11 1TB in my server and neither can mimic the everyday use performance of even that first gen SSD which was 150/90 sequential. I now have a Vertex 2 which is about double the performance of a standard "fast" drive in raw performance but everyday performance matches that of my friends Agility 3. That being said, you can get a 240GB Vertex 2 off Newegg brand new for 150 and I'm sure once the holidays come around that will go down further. Trust me when I say, 4 years ago I used to be the one that needed my 500GB drive to install all my useless junk (I would install almost all of my games at once, the whole Adobe Creative Suite, you get the picture) and once I got that 64GB SSD I didn't see much of a "difference". So I put it in my laptop and 2 weeks later it was back in my system and I have never looked back. Like I said, you wont understand this until you use an SSD everyday for a while and go back to a HDD. That is when you go, holy balls, never again. No hybrid drive, cache drive, or even a Velociraptor can give you that fluidity and snappiness of an SSD.

Come and try my LSI MegaRaid 9260-4i with 2x 256GB Vertex 4's in Raid 0 and tell me you wouldn't want it. You have no idea of the speed! Even 6 15K SAS Cheetas in Raid 10 cant keep up.

hah, I dont doubt the speed, I got a harddrive from Joshua awhile back it was a 30gb, I did some stuff on it, as well as using it as my laptops HDD as my seagate hdd died in it.

I personally dont use the laptop for anything but internet to watch stuff in my room on my bed haha. as this laptop is going to die at somepoint soon.
But when I was using it on my main computer, I just seen no benefit to gaming for online games or bearly offline games.

of course with todays modern ssd's it may be different but still not a option for me as I cant just buy a ssd that simple.

also josh, no... you need to come up here haha. Theres a lan event in janurary. I prolly wont go as usual as I have no one to go with lol.
All my buddies here are such lame asses.

Martin, please take your time with your computer. Any computer can look sexy, you just need to take your time, sometimes completely redo cable management. Take each peace of hardware out of your system, slowly dust it off, fans as well with finger, and compressed air, use a vacuum to suck out the dust from your case, and redo the cables, and you're system will look very sexy too. It's all about keeping it clean, taking your time and slowly thinking about how you can make it better. Having lots of zip ties helps a lot.

For those wondering, it took me from 6PM till about 1AM to build the system, 30 min to clean up, 15 min to take photos. So about 7 hours to move from one system, dust off, vacuum, take out cables, dust those off as well, place in motherboard, memory, processor and CPU cooler, then took about an hour to figure out the case connectors, because there were 12 fan headers on the Phantom 820 due to the fan controller on the top, and once all the case cables were completely tucked away from sight and plugged into the system, that's when I throw in the power supply and took everything step by step. Might have used about 20 zip ties.

I could have thrown all the hardware in there in 15 min and be done with it, but instead spent 7 hours on it and I think it was worth it. Well 7 hours with dinner, snacks, and doing other stuff as well.

Trust me Peti, cable menagement is something I take my time to do

If it's now a mess, its because i needed to search for a 8 pin in my cables, for my new GTX 670, who were hided behind my motherboard and I don't have other choice than cut 2 tie for that...
So, the majority of the cables are free now because of that... ^^'

I find cable management iffy, just due to the fact if your case has enough space behind, or your PSU cables are bunched up ect. Such as mine.

Also it matters if you use Front panel connectors or not and all that.

Also matters where and how many cable management areas you have, and if your PSU if right up or upside down for intake ect.

Its all a serious thing to take into consideration and can fall flat after you start ziptieing everything down.
This always happens to me... Especially when I have to turn sata cables upside down and everything, turning into something I cant do such as 2x or more 5.25in bay drives that require sata power, because PSU's tend to like to have upside down connections and it just looks horrible, and they are not spaced out enough ect.
Oh so my buttox feels like its been man handled is on topic?
