    Default Crysis 3 Alpha

I just received my invite code for Crysis 3 Alpha on Origin.

I was wondering has anyone else received the invite? or waiting to check out the game? I haven't accessed my Gaming system to start downloading. Any Idea how big the game might be?

It's Crysis so I was already not interested. After seeing screenshots of it, still not interested. It appears to be taxing machines pretty heavily without much more on the graphics front compared to Crysis 2.

But your system seems like it's good enough to give it a go. :D

More than plenty, but the lack of interest means I didn't even try to get a key lol. I saw what I needed from somebody else. I'm really not a fan of the Crysis series at all, if that wasn't apparent.

Yes it was heavy on graphics. Played it on windowed mode because the screen lag is killing me LOL.
I played crysis 2 and finished the game. It was the longest FPS game I finished, story was kinda long and was difficult to finish. Well, same with crysis 2, the environment as usual was DARK. Had to adjust brightness to both the game and monitor to see things well. My eyes are burning after an hour of playing... never had that when playing BF3 or MW3..

The Crysis and Crysis 2 stories don't blend well IMO. They took it out in left field. I don't exactly remember Crysis 2 being that dark as most of your exploring was done outside in the daylight. I personally like if the game is night time you can hardly see. I hate dark games where you can see almost perfectly, again just personal preference. In RL if I'm walking around outside in the country with no extra moon light it's dark and you can barely see out in front of you. That's why I enjoy the dark mods for Skyrim. No city light in a game with no cities lol.

half-life and counter-strike are one of the best classic LAN games I believe
I remember playing CS with friends. de_dust1 map was full of funny bugs like throwing a flashbang grenade in the edge of some crates, it would blind everybody LOL. Or throw a smoke grenade to your teammates head, it would get stuck hahahha. Fast-paced PVP games do get your eyes burning after some time.. but crysis is worse with the added poor visibility due to darkness of the environment @____@

Played Crysis 3 Alpha and didn't find it that dark, and Crysis 2 is only dark in a few areas.

The only games that are bad for me are any UE3 based games. Playing UT3 at a LAN for an hour will give me such a headache.

ahhhh.. FPS LAN games X__X im not really good in those games. im the kind of guy that sits still and get stabbed with a knife... and yes I got stabbed in crysis 3 alpha numerous times while using the sniper LOL. But playing the storyline or campaign is something I enjoy
