This would make a great movie the guy seems very strange. When he was hiding from the authorities in Belize he was doing interviews and even called into a podcast I listen to.

Geez. If his lawyer is smart, he should say that McAfee is unfit to stand trial. Or something along those lines - at least there's a lot of evidence to back it up.

As for how interesting a movie would be... maybe a documentary. It's kind of like a conspiracy theory - you're intrigued about the subject, but you get tired of its absurdity after a while.

    And Another Update....

With all the action John McAfee is doing since November 11, the McAfee Antivirus company is also affected by the negative attention the company's founder is getting. Now a subsidiary of Intel, the company do consider changing its name but will continue using McAfee for now. McAfee co-president Michael DeCesare said... "Look, we are not happy it's going on, we are happy that is seems to be coming to an end."

Should the company change its name to remove its association to the now-notorious founder?

Dunno - I don't think it means that much. I didn't connect McAfee to the antivirus until it was explicitly mentioned that that was the case. I don't think it matters that much - if anything, it makes people check out what this crazy man invented. Although trusting an antivirus created by someone like that... maybe they should.
