Texas Instruments To Reduce Workers By 1,700

The Dallas-based chip manufacturer Texas Instruments is said to layoff 1,700 workers as part of its restructuring scheme aiming to cut down costs. With competitors such as Samsung and Apple taking the mobile phone market by storm, TI takes some time off to rethink strategies regarding their processors and wireless connectivity products.
