AMD to enter SSD market

The SSD market is perhaps the most competitive computer component market today with more than a dozen manufacturers making their own line. AMD might soon be joining them and make their own RADEON-branded SSD line with the aim to address their "ALL-AMD" vision in the future.

amd is good company but other did better on the same stuff just hard to get a break

I kinda would like to see AMD go through with this and do relatively well at this. I don't see how this would be much more different than manufacturing RAM.

I wonder if it would it be cheaper for them to purchase a company or start their own manufacturing plant?

IMO, it'd be cheaper for them to start a partnership with a company like they did with their AMD series RAM with XFX, Patriot, and VisionTEK.
