    Angry computer issues

Computer was folding last night when I went to bed. Wasn't too hot, running fine. This morning it is off and will not start back up. Hit the power button and the leds light up, but shut right back off. Left it for awhile but it still will not start. Any ideas?

Could be any number of things. Can you boot it up with just the bare minimums i.e. cpu ram mobo and psu?

Sadly no, my last psu was before you needed a cpu or gpu power plug

Do you have any spare parts that you can swap out just to rule out the part as an issue?

ANNND I'm back. Best Buy had a decent sale for a Thermaltake 600W for $52. Picked that up, installed yesterday. Turns out also that when the PSU bit the dust, something was writing on my hard drive and corrupted my OS on my drive so just got done reinstalling windows and getting things running again. Luckily I already have most of my important data set back on a spare drive.

Glad to hear it didn't take anything else out with it.

Sorry mate - I guess that's why most people have separate folding comps... although for people like you and me who don't have extra hardware, that's not a possibility. Thanks for folding, though.

As for the PSU, sorry to hear about that. Was it a nice one? Still under warranty?

3-4 year old PSU. Cooler MAster, about 500W. It happens, but it sucks when it does :P
