Internet speeds in my country is hopeless considering that it's an archipelago composed of 7000+ islands, experts said we need some sort of trans-ocean communication cable thingy to be installed under the ocean which is just too expensive for my country.
So far the fastest attainable download speeds here is around 8-10mpbs.. nothing beyond that so far..
Depends on how far the islands are apart. They could do a wireless based broadband like a lot of the rural companies here in the US. I'm on a 10Mb connection right now and it's fine.

Looking at how close the islands are on Google Maps I believe it could be done, but a company would have to do it and get permission from your government. So the odds of having it done are slim to none.

Yeah but I doubt it would happen considering that my country is visited by 20+ typhoons in a year.

Do you have cell towers there? If so, do they get knocked down by the typhoons? If they don't then most likely the APs would be strapped to the cell towers. Each AP on land has about a 5 mile length.

cell towers are okay in my region since we rarely get hit by typhoons but I'm sure the top part of my country isn't. It's probably prone to repairs. Well considering the typhoons in my country do this...

A typhoon with that kind of destructive power visits the country once or twice a year. Then a couple of "minor" ones...

LOL we are getting out of topic! XD
Anyway, 4G network capabilities is now available in my country and this is just very recent like only this Q4 2012.

They are clearly ignoring the "o parking sign".

Najiro let me know if you need a torrent set up to get a game or something. I will try to help you out.

Yep. I am planning to make one soon and use it as my office PC as well. I only use minor applications for work like MS word, skype and browsers. My gaming rig is somewhat overkill for that and I want to save electricity since it's really expensive here in my country. Using it for torrent downloads is also wasteful. So I plan to setup an entry-level 1155 setup using my P8Z77M-PRO and probably a Pentium G860 or G640, then the seagate momentus I bought from a broken ROG laptop, some generic rams and probably no video card so that it can download torrent at the minimum power needed.

Turn off the OC and turn all Cstates and Speedstep as well as power management on the GPU and your rig will probably take no more than 50w.

Wow, you're from the archipelago islands? It must be beautiful out there... but sounds like a pain in butt when it comes to the interwebs lol

There were some mentions of casual gaming... I thought what defines casual gaming was how much a person plays and how invested they are? I personally catorgize myself as a casual gamer because even though I play Diablo 3, Halo 4, WoW and a bunch of other random games like Journey and also phone games, but I don't quite keep up with the latest and greatest... now that I wrote that out maybe I'm in between hardcore and casual lol.
I mean, could you be a hardcore mobile gamer? Or even a facebook gamer? I know it sounds silly but there are those out there who played farmville to death... does that count as hardcore?

No, those are still considered casual games. Especially flash based games.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casual_game

I was the one that defined mobile gaming as casual because IMO most people who play mobile games (Vita, DS, Gameboy, phones ect) don't exactly have the time to sit down and play a PC or console game therefor casually playing a game at their leisure. Plus, most games on the mobile platforms aren't that difficult or story heavy so you can pick them up whenever you want to.
