Regarding mobile games, they're not only casual games. Sure FPS fans won't find a lot to play there (and certainly not as comfortably as on the PC), but I'm a fan of adventure games and I'm playing Broken Sword 1 currently on my Nexus 7. I plan to play old adventure games on it using SCUMMVM and DosBox Turbo, and probably also some RPG's.

All I know is PC gamer, I hate how PS3 and Xbox games are never released together for some HUGE titles we all come to know.
As I hate wanting a console for my sole self, if I had to choose another I wanna get a PS3 at some point to play my Metal Gear Solid games again, as I havent played them since ps2, and I need a ps3 to play new ones
Oh so my buttox feels like its been man handled is on topic?

I'm a PC gamer ever since Chip's Challenge and Tempest game got out for windows 3.1. Then played Red Alert 2, Battle Realms, Tiberium Wars, Baldur's Gate and so on. Stopped playing during college (for a while until Ragnarok hit the streets). Now still playing when I get some free time off of work.

The first and only console I ever played and owned was a nintendo family computer which was 2 decades ago. Never had another one ever since.WordPress Website Builder - PC Hardware Enthusiast - Content Writer - Economist - Foodie

If you're somewhat keyboard challenged like me I would suggest you look into getting yourself one of the Merc keyboards .

The gaming keys off to the side of the regular keys make it a heck of a lot easier playing pc games with a keyboard.New rig.

IIRC you were saying you only play games on your phone due to time correct? The definition of a casual game is a game that you can casually play in between periods of work ect. I have a ton of games on my GS2 and I even paid for Final Fantasy but they all have that casual feel to them. Just something you can leave behind for a while and just pick back up. For the record, I consider any type of mobile gaming casual due to the nature of it being casual gameplay on the go.

I think that most games can be played like this. Well, at least most PC style games that you can save instead of use save points. Broken Sword was originally a PC game, and it's quite long (I've been playing it for over 10 hours so far). I also wouldn't call Avadon a casual game, nor Baldur's Gate EE (which I don't have). Sure a lot of games on mobile are simplified, but that doesn't mean everything you can play on it is. Also, games for phones are necessarily more simplified because of display limitations, but I'm playing on a tablet, and this allows for more complex games (such as those I mentioned).
My intent is actually to go back over my PC games backlog and play it on my tablet. I imagine that a lot of these games, in particular adventure games, will play well. Also games like Eye of the Beholder or other early RPG's could work well on a tablet.

I envy you guys. Electronic copies through Steam and other sources are so convenient... I tried downloading Dirt 3 there, ETA was more than a month.. ~___~
With download speeds less than 100kbps.. it's a futile attempt. It's just weird torrent downloads have faster speeds.
Internet speeds in my country is hopeless considering that it's an archipelago composed of 7000+ islands, experts said we need some sort of trans-ocean communication cable thingy to be installed under the ocean which is just too expensive for my country.
So far the fastest attainable download speeds here is around 8-10mpbs.. nothing beyond that so far..WordPress Website Builder - PC Hardware Enthusiast - Content Writer - Economist - Foodie

I'm not keyboard challenged. I've done racing games on a KB before, and I find it significantly more difficult than using a console controller. Using a console controller for racing games is much more accurate than a KB, for me at least.
8 - 10 Mbps down is pretty decent still though.

For me it really depends on the type of game. For me any platformer type game (Tomb Raider, Uncharted) is much better with a controller. I also like playing more cinematic games (Heavy Rain, Mass Effect) with a controller because I can relax in my favorite chair and have my input device right in my hands.
Shooters are the obvious PC preference for me, the controller is just not accurate enough.
Racing games are in between for me. I like cranking up the settings on the PC, but I'm far better with a controller than a wheel or keyboard, so I usually end up using my PS3 controller when I play racers on my PC.
